Root Canal Treatment
Root Canal Treatment (RCT) focuses on treating the inner part of your tooth, commonly known as the pulp or nerve. When a tooth has deep decay, has undergone extensive restorative work (such as large fillings or crowns), or has suffered trauma, the pulp can become inflamed or die. During a root canal, the dentist removes the inflamed or infected pulp, thoroughly cleans the inside of the tooth, and fills it with a special material to seal the root and prevent further infection from spreading to the jawbone.
